Although active as a gallerist for over ten years now, Daniela Steinfeld originally had her roots in art as a photographer. Her self-stagings call to mind the early works of Bruce Nauman, Cindy Sherman, or Erwin Wurm. In her self-portrayals, Steinfeld assumes absurd, unusual poses and thus creates surreal scenarios. A cross-section of Daniela Steinfeld’s oeuvre is presented in the exhibition Full Horn at the Teilelager of FAHRBEREITSCHAFT. The artist curated the exhibition herself. How does an artist who no longer works as one present her own retrospective? What significance does her work have today?
Daniela Steinfeld: Full Horn is the last exhibition held in the former Teilelager of FAHRBEREITSCHAFT. The space will be rented out afterward.
