In the former Kantine of FAHRBEREITSCHAFT, we present Büroarbeiten (office works) by Karin Sander. Since 1990, the artist has created a large number of works on paper. Again and again she devises them anew with respect to topic and material: “The office works are created at desks, on trips, and during working visits with the particular materials that are present there. together, around 1,500 sheets represent a set of works, a catalog of experiments and considerations on paper.”

These works are now exhibited chronologically almost in their entirety for the very first time. The serial approach to mounting the works creates an extensive installation that continued through the hallway and into the former Kantine of FAHRBEREITSCHAFT. Visible gaps in the installation can generally be traced back to the fact that the corresponding works are part of other collections and could not be made available for this exhibition. The form of presentation thus reflects the history of the individual drawings and simultaneously incorporated the special structural characteristics of FAHRBEREITSCHAFT rooms.
