In the months of September and October, FAHRBEREITSCHAFT in Berlin-Lichtenberg hosted the event series Something in the Air. It was accompanied by sound works from the Haubrok Collection. Works by Martin Creed, Jason Dodge, Isa Genzken, Rodney Graham, Pierre Huyghe, Emily Jacir, Jonathan Monk, Ayumi Paul, Susan Philipsz, Peter Piller, Stephen Prina, David Shrigley, Anri Sala, and Heimo Zobernig were distributed throughout the interior and exterior spaces.
The start of Something in the Air coincided with the opening of the sixth edition of the Month of Contemporary Music and the 15th Long Night of Pictures Lichtenberg. On September 17, 2022, the official opening was celebrated during the summer festival at FAHRBEREITSCHAFT. In close cooperation with the tenants, a program was designed that showed visitors the diversity of activities on site through a wide range of musical contributions. Not only were there open studios, but also installations, live performances and concerts from 4 pm on, ranging from experimental jazz to nostalgic 80s rock and sample-heavy hiphop.
The series was concluded with a film program showing videos by Martin Creed, Rodney Graham, Ayumi Paul, Hirsch Perlman, Stephen Prina, John Smith, David Zink Yi and Heimo Zobernig.
